Welcome
CELEBRATING the engineering diversity of a bygone age, the railway paintings shown on the following pages are painted in high grade artists’ oil colours on stretched canvases. When dry, they have been coated with a light varnish. The canvases are either cotton, linen or man-made fibre.
Most of the paintings have been created from a number of period references. In some, the location shown is specific, though individual details may have been amended to create a better composition. In others, the location has been created to be typical rather than exact.
On request, we can supply a higher resolution, watermarked file of any of the paintings, which will better show the high level of detail.
